HEALTH AND WELLNESS
We believe that health is a fundamental human right, as well as a vital component of sustainable development.

Our commitment to building healthier communities is at the forefront of our mission.
We strive to enhance the well-being of individuals and create thriving, healthy communities through a range of targeted health programmes.
OUR APPROACH

2. Community-Based Preventive Health Services
We work together with local health centres and stakeholders to set up mobile clinics, provide free health screenings, run vaccination campaigns, and organise sanitation drives in underserved areas. This approach helps us to break down barriers to healthcare access. Our youth volunteers are trained to serve as community health agents, supporting the early detection of health issues and providing referrals, while also promoting safe and healthy environments.
3. Empowering Youth as Health Leaders
NYDA is building a network of young health champions trained to spearhead change in their neighbourhoods. Through youth health clubs and leadership training programs, we empower young people to advocate for better health policies, organise peer education sessions and lead campaigns that address key issues such as gender-based violence, substance abuse and mental health.

EDUCATE. EMPOWER. THRIVE
Through our comprehensive approach, we aim to:
-
Reduce the prevalence of preventable diseases in disadvantaged communities.
-
Empower individuals to make informed choices about their health and well-being.
-
Create a healthy and supportive environment for Sustainable Development.
-
Equip young people with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in promoting health in their communities.

GET INVOLVED
By working together, we can create vibrant communities where health and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.
1. Health Education and Awareness
NYDA actively engages communities by running health education and awareness campaigns that promote disease prevention, hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health and mental wellbeing. Our youth-led teams run school outreach programs, organise public awareness events and use local media platforms, such as radio and social media, to share accurate health information.
